CLARK ACQUIRED IN TRADE WITH EL PASO

The Tulsa Junior Oilers have acquired rookie forward Malachi Clark from the El Paso Rhinos.

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Junior Oilers, proud member of the NA3HL and partner of the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills and Ruffin Event Center, announced Monday the acquisition of Malachi Clark from the El Paso Rhinos.

Clark, 17, had not appeared in a game with the Rhinos, but made appearances in two games for the Jr. Oilers over the weekend.

“I’ve seen him before growing up here,” said head coach Zac Desjardins. “I’ve always liked him as a player and as a person–just the way he carries himself. Over the weekend I thought he did a good job, just playing simple hockey and not trying to do anything too crazy. Once he gets a little bit more affiliated with our systems, he’ll be a lot more comfortable and he’s going to be a great player for us.”

The Sand Springs, Oklahoma native spent last season with the Oklahoma Warriors 18U AA program, recording 13 goals and four assists for 17 points in 19 games.

Tulsa returns to action on Friday, Oct. 4 at home against the Texas Brahmas. Puck drop from the WeStreet Ice Center is set for 7 p.m. All games can be streamed on NATV.
