BRACHLOW ACQUIRED FROM ROADRUNNERS
The Tulsa Junior Oilers have acquired rookie defenseman Kurtis Brachlow from the Texas Roadrunners.
TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Junior Oilers, proud member of the NA3HL and partner of the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills and Ruffin Event Center, announced Friday the acquisition of Kurtis Brachlow from the Texas Roadrunners in exchange for future considerations.
Brachlow, 18, comes in having appeared in six games for the Roadrunners this season.
“I think it’s going to help put a little bit of competition on the back end of guys having to work harder,” said head coach Zac Desjardins. “They’ll put in a little bit more effort, instead of just being comfortable with where they’re at. I think bringing in a big guy like him– he’s going to be a little bit tougher. He’s a little bit offensive so we’re going to have to make sure we pair him up with somebody that’s a little bit more defensive-minded, but I think that’s something that we need– a little bit more offense up front.”
Prior to his junior hockey career, the 6-foot defenseman spent the 2023-24 season with Houston Jr. Aeros 18U AA, recording one goal and four assists in 20 appearances.
Tulsa returns to action on Friday, Oct. 18 on the road against the Texas Brahmas. Puck drop from the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, Texas is set for 7:05 p.m. All games can be streamed on NATV.
